The
PCN-NCP and the transnational Association “THE PEOPLES’ CAUSE”
strongly denounce the horrible crime which claimed the life of the Palestinian
leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, stressing that it is Israel which practices top of
terror.
Israel’s
assassination of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin is a ugly crime that comes as part of a
series of acts of killing and destruction perpetrated by Israel against the
Palestinian people. It poses as a dangerous escalation of the situation.
Whatever
excuses proclaimed by the government of Sharon, the policy of killing and
destruction pursued by it, with all its embodiment of a flagrant violation of
the international law, is a policy that should be denounced by the international
community with all its political and humanitarian bodies and an end should be
put to it.
The
premeditated killing of a Palestinian handicapped political leader was the top
of Israel’s continued practices of terror targeting Palestinian civilians and
disarmed people suffering under the Israeli occupation. This was done with all
brutal force of Israel that challenged all international laws and heaven faiths.
As
ours Ba’athist comrades of “Damascus Radio” asserted, “Sharon,
through the criminal operation against Hamas Leader Sheikh Ahmad Yassin, has
assassinated peace possibilities and left the doors wide open for dangerous
repercussions that will not be in the Israelis’ interest (...) the Israeli
operation came within a framework of an official governmental plan that was
prepared days before the execution, the matter that confirms that Israel adopts
killing and terrorism as an official policy”.
"Will
the international community remain silent leaving those who practice the law of
jungle without punishment?",
“Damascus Radio” concluded by asking.
This assassination demonstrate also the deep hypocrisy of Washington, which refuse to condamn the criminal action of its Zionist accomplice.
