DISCUSSING "THE SITUATION IN IRAQ"
OR ACTING AND MILITATING
FOR AND WITH IRAQI RESISTANCE!?
The
Iraq Resistance has interested since a few months various tiny groups and
networks of influence going downhill. We would have liked to hear
them in April, June or October 2003. These opportunists intend
“to discuss the situation in Iraq”. Logorrhoea, narcissism and
recovery are in the agenda of these pseudo “friends of the Iraqi
Resistance”, whose Iraqi contacts have all as first characteristic
to be adversaries of always – including today, which means stabbing in
the back the resistance fighters! – of ba'athist Iraq, whose executives
form today the spinal column of the Resistance.
We,
at the “Iraq Committees”, we prefer to act, militate, work
for and with the ba'athist Resistance!
As
for knowing who helps really the Resistance and who makes useful work for
it, is hardly difficult to resolve. Answering the following questions is
enough:
Who
has carried on since April 2003 the information battle for
the Iraqi armed Resistance?
Who
systematically distributes the communiqués, statements and analyses of
the armed patriotic Resistance?
Who
intends to break the wall of the media lies drawn up against sovereign
Iraq and its defenders?
The
answer is simple: the “Iraq Committees”!
Our
American-Zionist adversaries are not mistaken and
worry about our effectiveness and our following.
A
few days ago, the BENADOR Cabinet (1), one of the principal
Pentagon propaganda agencies, denounced our action. The Benador
Cabinet is interested indeed in the ba’athist Networks of the
Iraqi Resistance and in the support of the “Iraq
Committees” to them.
Titled
“THE BAATHIST, SADDAMITE IRAQ WAR NEWS NETWORK” (2), the
Benador Cabinet distributes a note of BA NEWS information, whose
prepublication is presented as “concerning a personal choice of
Eleanor Benador”, who lengthily presents the transnational support
networks to the ba'athist Iraqi Resistance. Besides the “Iraq
Committees”, also are mentioned several of our correspondents and
comrades of struggle, as the German group INN, the PCN-NCP, the “North
American Committee Against Zionism and Imperialism”, our friends of “Mathaba.net”,
or “The Free Arab Voice”. “To survive, to overcome, know
your enemy” concludes the dispatch!
It
is then on this 19 November that the MEMRI group (3), one of the
principal and most influential agencies of Israeli propaganda, devoted
the whole of its bulletin 197 (4) to the “anti-American
ba’athist activities in Paris”, in Europe and singularly in
the French-speaking Space, developing on 6 pages a correct analysis – as
the Anglo-Saxon press can do –, carried out through many quotations of
our press, of the action of the “Iraq Committees” in favour of
the Resistance, evoking not only “the resurrection of the Ba'ath
Party on the French soil”, but also the quadricontinental
vision of the anti-imperialist struggle and the Anti-Americanism which is
ours!

“With
the defeat of the Saddam Hussein regime on April 9, 2003, the Ba'th ruling
party was outlawed and a committee for the de-Ba'thification of Iraq was
established. However, the Ba'th's propaganda machine appears to have found a new abode
in Paris, France, whence threats to the U.S. are issued regularly in three
languages - English, French, and Spanish. Not surprisingly, the Ba'thist
propagandists use the word "resistance" (in French, "la
resistance") to underscore the association with the struggle against
the Nazi occupation of France during WWII.
The
newsletter [“Al Ba’ath Al Iraqi”] extends the purpose of the
"resistance" not only to defeat "the American-Zionist
imperialism in Iraq”, but to other fronts, "particularly in
occupied Palestine and Europe, where the Yankee domination is shaken
today." It goes on to affirm its agreement with Che Guevara that, “imperialism
has a head, the United States, and that it should be cut off!””
The
current events of the day also confirm the effectiveness of our action.
On the occasion of the Sharm el-Sheik conference (5), it is by the
intermediary of the “Iraq Committees” that the – underground
– Iraqi Ba'ath Party exposes in the international press (6) its
point of view. Thus AFP writes what follows: “The Iraqi Baas
Party, from now on underground, qualified on Monday of "vain"
the Conference on Iraq which must open on Monday in Egypt, and accused
president Hosni Mubarak to want "to play the plotter and the
go-between" for the Americans. "Vain will be the organization of
the Sharm el-Sheik Conference. It will be useless for those who organize
it or for those who will take part in it ", affirms the Baas Party of
former president Saddam Hussein, in a statement transmitted by the
"Iraq Committees" website, which pass on to the outside world
the Baas statements and press releases. This party, at power from 1968
to 2003, was banned by the American forces and became completely
underground. "The Iraqi resistance, through the blows that it gives
(by allusion in particular to Fallujah and other Iraqi cities) sends a
clear message to the Arab plotter and go-between regimes and initially to
Hosni Mubarak. There is no political process in occupied Iraq, on the
other hand, there are confrontation and fight against the occupying forces
and its collaborators", adds the statement. The party also qualifies
"masquerades" the elections announced for January 30, and in
particular asks for "the withdrawal without conditions of the
American forces from Iraq", "the reinstallation of the Iraqi
national leadership with at its head Saddam Hussein", and "the
formation of a pluralist and democratic government" composed of
"combatants and of Mujahideen who fought the occupation". In
preceding statements, the Baas had invited to attack the pipelines and the
oil infrastructures in Iraq. It also affirmed to be "the spinal
column" of the resistance, refuting the role assigned by the United
States to the network of the Jordanian islamist Abu Mussab Zarqawi”.
Supporting
the authentic Iraqi Resistance, is supporting the action of the
underground Ba'ath Party, which embodies Iraqi patriotism.
And acting effectively for this same Resistance, is taking part in the action of the only organization which militates for and with the ba'athist and patriotic movement of national liberation: the “Iraq Committees”!

As from its arrival at power, the Bush administration developed and
reinforced the propaganda apparatus which must manipulate the public
opinion. They did not forget in Washington that the Vietnam war was lost
in the mentalities and the media before being lost militarily on the
ground. As LE FIGARO pointed out pertinently, “In the wars that
America has waged on since a dozen years, there are systematically two
phases. The traditional war of the soldiers is always preceded by a media
war: it is a question, as a preliminary, of gaining to the cause of a
military overseas expedition the American public opinion and, if possible,
the public opinions of the great democracies allied to the United
States”.
With
this intention, the Bush hawks entrusted the dirty work to
"private" cabinets, where, joining there too the alliance of the
American religious far right, which surrounds Bush, with Zionism. Israeli
and American conservatives, hand in the hand, condition the media and work
out the media-lies intended to justify the military aggressions and the
neo-colonialism of Washington and Tel-Aviv. An investigation of the
magazine “THE AMERICAN PROSPECT” thus reveals “the power of these
black cabinets which “manufacture” information to be used for the
intentions of Dick Cheney, who is the real boss of the team at power”.
“The American Prospect” is not a extremist firebrand, it is a
“liberal and progressive publication” created in 1990. Its goal was
precisely “to thwart the dominant influence of the conservative
newspapers and think
tanks””.
The
Benador cabinet is in the forefront of this dirty fight. Its methods,
resting systematically on the lie and the forgery, are inspired directly
by the famous “black propaganda” of the sects, so dear to the State
Department, and by the secret government police agent tiny groups related
to our political police forces. “The Benador cabinet, still specifies
the RESEAU VOLTAIRE, not very suspect of sympathy for Ba'ath, represents
37 personalities whose it ensures the “media plans”: systematic
participation in the TV sets, opinion columns in the big national dailies,
signatures of books, etc (…) Since the beginning of the crisis, the
personalities represented by Benador Associates have been the
quasi-exclusive information sources of the media and the public
institutions of the whole world on the arsenal Iraq would have, on the
genocide which would have been made by Saddam Hussein’s regime and on
his links with Al Qaïda. Before even the Secretary of State, Colin
Powell, speaks in front of the Security Council of the United Nations, the
seminar of Benador Associates intended to reveal to the press the
“inside information”. Elena Benador is a young
“press attaché” of Peruvian origin. The “customers” of its
cabinet form a homogeneous group of personalities promoting the attack of
Iraq, the overthrow of the prince regent of Saudi Arabia, the redrawing of
the borders in the Middle East and the deportation of the Palestinians.
The majority of these “customers” are Americans or Israeli”. It is
the same cabinet which is at the origin of the fallacious charges
pronounced by Ariel Sharon, the butcher of Sabra and Chatila, accusing in
January 2003 Libya “to be the most advanced Arab State as regards
military nuclear research”.

Created in 1998, MEMRI – The Middle East Media Research Institute –
is a Zionist think-tank, financed with American funds, and of which the
goals are exactly those of the American colonial project of the “Greater
Middle East”: “MEMRI is dedicated to the proposition that the
values of liberal democracy, civil society, and the free market are
relevant to the Middle East and to United States foreign policy toward the
region”. .
The
Canadian journalist Jacques Bouchard, gives in the “Couac” (Montreal),
interesting information on the Israeli group: “the organization is
called MEMRI (The Middle East Media Research Institute www.memri.org), and
specializes in the translation out of context of the worst possible
horrors found in the newspapers of the Middle-East. The cofounder,
chairman and owner’s name is Yargal Carmon. Colonel Carmon spent 22
years in the Israeli secret service before being adviser for the
antiterrorist fight near presidents Yitzak Shamir and Ytzak Rabin. Three
of the six employees, including the colonel are former Mossad agents. To

The Sharm el-Sheik conference gathered the neighbours of Iraq, the
members of the G8, China, the Arab “troika” in charge of the follow-up
of the Iraqi issue (Tunisia, Algeria, Bahreïn), the European Union, the
Arab League, UNO and the Organization of the Islamic conference (OIC). The
project of the closing statement insists on “the leading role of the
United Nations” (sic) in the support of the political process in
progress and affirms that the mandate of the multinational Force is not
“indefinitely open”, but without fixing a precise calendar for the
withdrawal of these troops.
Daily
newspaper “Al-Quds Al-Arabi” criticized very rightly the Sharm
El-Sheik conference on Iraq and affirms that it aims at “legitimating
the occupation”. Moreover, the daily newspaper published a leading
article of Abdelbari Atuan which qualifies the conference of Sharm
El-Sheik of a “meeting of the traitors and the plotters”. For
the author, “the place of the conference is already a pessimistic
sign, since the Egyptian balneal city is accustomed to plotting against
the Moslems and their causes…” the daily newspaper fears that “the
conference republish the example of 1996 when Bill Clinton had qualified,
in Sharm El-Sheik, the Palestinian resistance of “terrorist”. Today,
the risk is great to see the conference led to a similar report and to
qualify the Iraqi resistance of terrorist”.
